When Tarantino was asked how he defines a good actor?
He replied: An actor who knows he's going to be good. That's the foursome in the picture. I killed them on this project.
They read the first draft. Something didn't work. I threw the draft in the trash. They said, "We trust you."

They read the first draft. Something didn't work. I threw the draft in the trash. They said "We trust you." I brought a second draft (completely different) they read - for a moment it seemed like there was a play. But then in rehearsals, something in the feeling didn't work for me - I threw that one away too. They looked at me and said "We trust you." Within two weeks I brought them a third draft. Completely new, characters, plot, style. We read it - it worked. I can't explain it - you just feel
Now we are in rehearsals. I feel like I don't have to tell them almost anything. They already know most of what needs to be done. They understand what I want to see. I have been blessed with actors who believe wholeheartedly in the creator that I am. They give me the strength to write them the best roles in the world. So I sit and tell myself I will write them gifts for their talent. The play "Fake" is a gift for their talent. And they are talented as devils. Maybe because they trust me with their eyes closed. That's all I need from actors. And I trust them with my eyes closed.
